Fenella Price – Managing Director
Fenella has worked across a variety of industries throughout her working career, Fenella at heart is an entrepreneur who is hardworking and committed to supporting and assisting individuals to recover from the despair of addiction.
Having suffered first hand experience of addiction Fenella has been clean for over 20 years and this is the real driving force behind the We Do Recover project. Fenella Qualified as a counsellor at Birkbeck College London and further trained as an Interventionist.
‘My vision for We Do Recover is to bridge the gap between private rehab service and also the local drug and alcohol services. I am passionate about helping people find recovery as I did myself through the rehabilitation process.’
Carl Bell – Centre Manager
Carl has worked within the hospitality industry for over 40 years and has had a monumental transformational experience with the 12-step program. Carl was inspired to be of use to others and began volunteering at a local charity, the Whitechapel centre. This evolved into paid work as a homeless support worker.
Carl progressed and became the General Manager at The Brink Café the first bespoke setting within the UK, that was a pre-abstinent treatment service and entertainment venue. This was a Community interest company that Carl ran for the Charity Action on Addiction.
Carl was in this role for nearly 8 years, and was subsequently catapulted into the world of residential Treatment with We Do Recover. Carl has been in recovery himself now for over 13 years and working with people suffering from addiction is not only fulfilling but is able to help others free themselves from the chains of addiction.
Chris Long – Therapeutic Lead
Chris Long is our Therapeutic Lead and part of the Senior Leadership Team, having been with us since our inception. He has a wealth of experience in the recovery world, having worked across all tiers in the recovery sector- from day programmes and detoxes, to quasi and fully residential units.
He is a psychodynamic therapist and has practiced for many years, having worked his way through the ranks from support staff, to Therapist, to Senior Therapist and then Manager in residential addiction treatment. Chris is registered as a manager with the Care Quality Commission and this, along with his professional and personal experience of addiction and recovery, means he really does understand the many complexities and responsibilities inherent in our service.
A recovering addict for many years, Chris’s passion in life is supporting those suffering in addiction to finding a new way of life, helping them to learn how to begin the journey to building a future they can enjoy and be contented in. We are proud to have him as such a significant member of our team
Frank Dunne – Deputy Lead Therapist
Frank has been a part of the service since the opening on the 1st of September 2020 as the Deputy Lead Therapist. Frank has worked in the field of addiction for the last 25 years . Frank has been in recovery for nearly 26 years. I qualified as an Addiction Therapist many years ago now and I have qualifications in many areas of Therapy such as CBT, Humanistic Integrative Counselling
Frank has an interest in the Budhist’s teachings and loves to visit temples and to practice meditation. One of my favourite pastimes is to wander and ponder which gives me time to reflect on where I have come from and be grateful for what recovery has given me.
Frank is very passionate about recovery and feels blessed to have had the chance to work in this sector of mental health for so many years. Frank believes in the ability of all those suffering from alcoholism and addiction to recover with the right help and support. Frank believes here at We Do Recover we provide the basis for all those who want recovery to start to build a foundation for long term recovery so they can have a better life.
